TERMS OF USE

1. Scope

These Terms of Use apply to the use of the browser game "Nova Siege" at novasiege.de. By playing, you agree to them.

2. Copyright and intellectual property

The game "Nova Siege", including its source code, game mechanics, graphics, design, text and music, is protected by copyright and — unless otherwise stated — the intellectual property of the operator (Richard Rutsatz). The music was created by the operator. Fonts are used under their respective licenses (e.g. Orbitron under the SIL Open Font License).

3. Prohibited use of the content

Without the operator's prior written consent, the following are in particular prohibited:

copying, reproducing or storing the game or its components beyond normal play in the browser,
modifying, editing or creating derivative works,
decompiling or reverse engineering,
redistributing, publishing, embedding or commercially exploiting it,
removing or altering copyright notices.

4. Permitted use

You are granted a simple, non-transferable right to play the game for private, non-commercial enjoyment in your browser.

5. Rules of conduct

When using the game — in particular the online mode and the leaderboard — the following are prohibited: cheating, manipulating game state or scores, exploiting bugs, disrupting or attacking the service, and using offensive or unlawful usernames.

6. User accounts

Accounts are optional and only required for the global leaderboard. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. In the event of violations of these terms, accounts may be suspended or deleted. You can delete your account at any time (in the game or by e-mail).

7. Availability and warranty

The game is provided free of charge and "as is". There is no claim to constant availability; the online mode relies on third-party infrastructure and may be temporarily unavailable.

8. Liability

Liability for slightly negligent damage is excluded insofar as no essential contractual obligations are affected and to the extent permitted by law. Liability for intent, gross negligence and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health remains unaffected.

9. Changes to these terms

These Terms of Use may be amended. The version published on this page applies in each case.

10. Applicable law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
